You are cordially invited to an Ecumenical Community-wide Thanksgiving-Eve worship service tonight at 5 PM at the Flora Caffe (Garcilaso de la Vega casa 10b and Primero de Mayo).
During the autumn of 1621, at least 90 members of the Wampanoag indigenous North American tribe joined 52 English colonists at what is now Plymouth, Massachusetts, gathered together to share a meal together to give thanks for successful harvest.
As was the case with those English colonists, our Cuenca expat community also have much to be thankful for in our new home here in Cuenca. Like our ancestors who were warmly welcomed to their new found home by the indigenous community, we too have been warmly welcomed by the Cuencano community. And for that we are extremely thankful!
In order that you will be able to spend Thanksgiving Day with family and friends, the worship service is being held on Thanksgiving-Eve.
Members of the Community Chorus will be providing special music for this occasion.
The event is being sponsored by St Christopher Episcopal Mission.
