We’ve given our beloved Storytelling Open Mic a bold new identity — meet StoryJAM!
This is a dynamic storytelling event where you can tell a story (fiction or real), share a poem or even sing a story through music!
Each edition features a combination of invited storytellers and open mic slots that are filled up at the event.
Every month has a different theme, and this month it’s “From Setbacks to Blessings!” We’ll share stories about the tough moments in our lives that turned out to be incredible opportunities.

StoryJAM is proudly bilingual — a mix of English, Spanish, and everything in between. Through summaries, translation, and Spanglish, we make sure every story connects – because language shouldn’t divide us, it should bring us closer.
Guiding us through the night are your hosts:
Barry Callen (musician, storyteller, and all-around fun guy)
Ximena Moscoso (set designer, artist, and life-long storyteller)
Invited storytellers are: Lisa Jaffe and Diana Moscoso
Translator: Maureen Douglas
(Side effects of StoryJAM may include laughter, inspiration, and mild storytelling addiction. Ask your doctor if StoryJAM is right for you.)
