Drawing the human form is a timeless practice — one that connects us to centuries of artistic tradition while inviting fresh contemporary interpretation. Every line we draw expresses mood and movement, revealing the subtle ways light and shadow bring the figure to life.
Siluetas is idiomARTE’s monthly life-drawing gathering, where artists of all levels can explore the richness of the human figure. Each session features a clothed model and a mix of short and extended poses that encourage you to capture not only anatomy but also texture, form and movement.
This month’s session will be guided by local artists Cristian León and Andrés Montesinos, who will offer insights, guidance and artistic support throughout the evening. Together, they create a bilingual, multicultural environment that flows naturally in both English and Spanish.
We also have something truly special for this edition: two models instead of one. Tango dancers Luis Uribe and Greisi Dos Santos will alternate between dynamic solo poses and expressive duet poses inspired by tango’s passion and intensity.
Bring your favorite drawing tools — pencils, markers, paints, chalk — and we’ll provide easels and tables. A cash bar with alcoholic and non-alcoholic options will be available to keep your creativity flowing throughout the evening.
