Dr. Rene Cabrera is a highly-respected eye surgeon with more than 30 years’ experience with cataract and laser surgery and the treatment of eye diseases.
Dr. Cabrera has been highly-recommended on GringoPost for many years and speaks fluent English.
Dr. Cabrera studied at the Universidad de Cuenca and earned his degree in 1981. He was a postgraduate resident at the Hospital Voz Andes de Quito from 1983-85. He earned his Master’s Degree in 1986 from the Universidad de Puerto Rico.
Dr. Cabrera was a professor of ophthalmology at the Universidad Catolica de Cuenca for 12 years, was President of La Sociedad Ecuatoriana of Ophthalmology and the Sociedad Ecuatoriana de Cornea y Segmento Anterior.
Currently, he is the President of La Fundacion Hogar del Ecuador.
