It’s my pleasure to recommend Sandra Mejía as Spanish tutor. I first learned of Sandra through GringoPost prior to my second trip to Cuenca this past December and January, and I’ve continued to work with her via Skype now that I’m back in the US. We “met” via Skype before deciding to meet for in-person lessons in Cuenca.
I found Sandra to be very flexible, accommodating, friendly and even supportive when I encountered issues during my time in Cuenca. I’ve been studying Spanish the past 5-6 years and my level is intermediate. My goal is to improve upon my conversation skills (both listening and speaking), so that has been our focus. Although I haven’t asked Sandra for lessons around grammar, we work it in as needed.
She’s extremely encouraging and has helped me relax to improve my fluency. Also, fyi, she also speaks French. I feel very lucky to have found both a tutor and a friend in Sandra!
