Scrumptious and authentic Thai food
A new restaurant, the Thai Lotus, just opened a few days ago. The menu offers a nice variety of scrumptious and authentic Thai dishes. We ordered five dishes, and every one of them was incredible. The presentation was elegant, and the chef carves beautiful flowers and decorations from radishes, carrots, and other edible items.
You can have them adjust the spice level to your taste. I happen to be a fan of very spicy food, which can be difficult to find in Cuenca, so I asked them to turn the spiciness up a notch.
The restaurant is located at the site of the former Roux and Barbecue Palace restaurants.
We live half of the year in San Francisco, where we are spoiled by the excellent Thai restaurants there. It is difficult to find Thai restaurants in Ecuador that live up to the expectations we are used to in San Francisco. Finally, we have found a Thai restaurant here that does live up to those expectations.
We look forward to having many meals in the Thai Lotus. I highly recommend the Thai Lotus.
