Featuring the masterful musicianship of Argentinian artist Oscar Gomitolo on charango, guitar, and cuatro, alongside the powerful voice of Cuenca tenor Cristian Castro Crespo, this concert offers an emotional journey through the rich musical traditions and cultural landscapes of Latin America.

Featuring two exceptional artists, the concert brings together Argentina’s Oscar “Poli” Gomitolo. A renowned performer, researcher of Latin American string instruments, and coordinator of the international network Sonamos Latinoamérica, his career has been dedicated to preserving and sharing the musical traditions of the Latin America.
Joining him is Cristian Castro Crespo, acclaimed Cuenca tenor, educator, and cultural leader whose work spans opera, classical performance, and arts education. Recently honored by UNESCO with the distinction “Tenor Orgullo Latinoamericano”, he is one of Cuenca’s most respected voices.

This is a comprehensive class where you will start off by learning the history of street art and finish with a mural painted on a wall at the Mercado 3 de Noviembre in our neighborhood!

In this class you will: • Explore the history and culture of street art and muralism • Learn mural techniques including stencils, graffiti, and street art • Develop a mural design from paper to wall • Practice painting techniques using spray paint, brushes, and more • Help paint a real mural in the barrio
This workshop is for ages 15 and up. No experience necessary.
Cristian León was one of the first urban artists in Cuenca and has years of experience in street art. He has painted a number of indoor and outdoor murals in Cuenca and in other parts of the world. He is passionate about art and that passion is definitely contagious!

A special guest will be with us in the morning so be sure to come early. Our doors will be open by 10 AM, and the fair is scheduled to run until 2 PM. Please note that some vendors may leave early if they sell out.
