Cuenca gets ready for a very special evening of contemporary jazz, improvisation, and international musical connection with NEW YORK – BERLIN CONNECTION!
Led by guitarist, composer, and arranger Ramiro Olaciregui, based in Berlin, this unique concert brings together outstanding musicians from Ecuador, Berlin, and New York for an unforgettable musical experience.
Joining Olaciregui on stage are Ecuadorian pianist Miguel Gallardo and drummer Raúl Molina, alongside two special guests from the international jazz scene: German saxophonist Tobias Meinhart and New Zealand-born bassist Matt Penman, both active members of New York’s vibrant jazz scene.
The concert features original compositions by members of the ensemble, combining contemporary jazz, fusion, and improvisation. Their different musical backgrounds come together in a performance that highlights the diversity and creativity of today’s international jazz scene.
More than a concert, this is a meeting of Berlin, New York, and Ecuador on one stage—a rare opportunity to experience the energy of the international jazz scene right here in Cuenca.
