Looking for a deeper connection with Ecuador?

How do I experience Ecuador’s living traditions in a thoughtful and respectful way?

It’s a question I’ve heard many times over the years from people living in or visiting Ecuador.

For many, the desire to connect more deeply is there — but knowing where to begin can feel less clear.

That question has shaped the work we do through Casa Aguacolla.

In collaboration with local community partners, we help create opportunities for thoughtful participation in traditional community ceremonies and cultural gatherings in the Ecuadorian Andes. Along the way, we offer cultural context, practical preparation, English-language support when appropriate, and space for reflection so that people can arrive feeling informed, comfortable, and respectful.

Registration is now open for our August Community Ceremony in Sígsig. The gathering includes a traditional San Pedro (Huachuma) ceremony within the broader context of a community gathering rooted in local relationships and traditions.

Each gathering reflects the season, the place, and the people who come together. Rather than offering a retreat or centering a plant medicine experience, our intention is to create opportunities to participate respectfully in living community traditions — inviting a slower rhythm of connection with nature, community, and oneself.

Whether you’ve lived in Ecuador for years or have only recently arrived, you’re warmly welcome.

If you’d like to learn more about the gathering, have questions, or see additional information, feel free to send a message or search Casa Aguacolla on Facebook.

We’d be happy to help you determine whether this gathering feels like the right fit for you.
