Hello Cotacachi community,I am reaching out to this community in hopes of connecting with anyone who knew my father, Barry Brownrigg, who was better known locally by the name “Mountain” or “Mountain Brownrigg.”
My father was a Canadian expat who deeply loved Cotacachi, its indigenous culture, and traditional music. He passed away in the area around 2015 and was outlived by his wife, Diane. I am his biological son. I am trying to trace any personal history, memories, or final words he may have left behind. I am especially hoping to find a way to contact Diane, or anyone who might have been close to them around 2015 and knows where are his personal belongings or journals. If you remember Mountain, knew Diane, or have any information that could help me piece this together, please reach out to me privately. Any memories you can share of him would mean a great deal.
