For years, Patio Sessions has brought extraordinary musicians from across Latin America and beyond to our little corner of Cuenca. In this patio, we’ve discovered new artists, shared unforgettable performances, and gathered as a community around music.
So many musical memories have been made in this house.
Before idiomARTE begins a new chapter, we’d like to invite you to one final Patio Sessions concert in our Mariscal Lamar home.
“Música Ancha como el Cielo” brings together everything that has made Patio Sessions so special: exceptional musicians, the rich traditions of Latin American music, and the unique atmosphere of a beautiful historic home where artists and audiences have gathered again and again.
Featuring the masterful musicianship of Argentinian artist Oscar Gomitolo on charango, guitar, and cuatro, alongside the powerful voice of Cuenca tenor Cristian Castro Crespo, this concert offers an emotional journey through the rich musical traditions and cultural landscapes of Latin America.

Featuring two exceptional artists, the concert brings together Argentina’s Oscar “Poli” Gomitolo. A renowned performer, researcher of Latin American string instruments, and coordinator of the international network Sonamos Latinoamérica, his career has been dedicated to preserving and sharing the musical traditions of the Latin America.
Joining him is Cristian Castro Crespo, acclaimed Cuenca tenor, educator, and cultural leader whose work spans opera, classical performance, and arts education. Recently honored by UNESCO with the distinction “Tenor Orgullo Latinoamericano”, he is one of Cuenca’s most respected voices.
Join us as we celebrate the final Patio Sessions in this house and everything this space has made possible over the years.
