XV Festival Madre Tierra: Documentary premiere and festival showcase

idiomARTE and Take Me To The River invite you to an evening celebrating the stories, creative processes, and artistic works that emerged from the XV Festival Madre Tierra.

This year’s festival brought together more than 30 artists from 11 countries who collaborated with communities throughout Azuay in a process of cultural exchange, collective creation, and intercultural dialogue.

Join us for the premiere of the festival’s official documentary, along with the debut of the music videos for the original compositions Mother and This Earth, created during the festival.

The evening will feature:

• The official Festival Madre Tierra documentary
• Music videos for the original compositions Mother and This Earth
• Demonstration of the collective instrument Breath of the Páramo
• Exhibition of masks, ceramic vessels, and other works created during workshops
• A conversation with participating artists
• Discounts on official festival merchandise

This event also marks the final Festival Madre Tierra activity to be held in idiomARTE’s current home on Mariscal Lamar before the organization moves to a new location later this summer.
