A Healthy Beginning Can Change a Life
Last Friday, we launched our new Healthy Beginnings Program at GRACE Foundation, supporting vulnerable pregnant women so their babies can have the healthiest possible start in life.
Many people are surprised to learn that nearly 30% of children under five in Ecuador suffer from chronic malnutrition. The effects can last a lifetime, impacting physical growth, learning ability, health, and future opportunities.
At GRACE, we see this reality every day. Some of the families we serve are migrants rebuilding their lives far from home. Others are Ecuadorian families facing difficult circumstances. Hunger and malnutrition do not discriminate.
Through Healthy Beginnings, we provide:
Nutritious food support
Prenatal education
Emotional support and encouragement
Ongoing accompaniment throughout pregnancy
The goal is simple: help mothers stay healthy so their babies can thrive.
Every week, we hope to provide food assistance to these moms, but we can only do that with the support of our community.
If you’d like to help, even a small donation can make a meaningful difference in the life of a mother and her baby.

A special thank you to Global Action Institute, our amazing volunteers from Cuenca, and our friends from Peace Corps Ecuador for helping make this program possible.
Together, we can give more babies a healthy
