If you like Italian food, good wine, drinks and friendly professional service, you’ll definitely like Merlot. Sometimes one tries a new restaurant with some reservation, especially if you are eating solo. Merlot is a half a block off Solano on Gonzalo Cordero.
I had a nice Caesar salad, some excellent lasagna and light cream dessert. By the way, the Merlot, like its name was great. For a restaurant that is only open around a month, I must say they know what they are doing. It’s a family-owned restaurant and you get that feeling as soon as you sit down.
Whether you speak Spanish or English you will get excellent service. I look forward to my next visit to try another dish. Everything I saw that came out of the kitchen looked delicious. Merlot is a fairly small place and you can sit safely either inside or out. They adhere to Covid regulations. Give it a try for either lunch or dinner. You’ll be glad you did.
