Inti Raimy, the festivity of the Sun, is celebrated every year during the summer/winter solstice by our indigenous communities of the Andes. Worshiping the sun is a very ancient ritual practiced by the Inca culture in Cuzco and Ingapirca. In this session we will learn about the origins of Inti Raymi, its current variations, symbolisms and its legitimization as a unique Andean celebration due to the synthesis of two cultures: the indigenous and the European.
