Paypal allows now to be connected with Ecuadorian banks account

Hi all, It´s a nice surprise, that now PayPal can be connected with an account in almost any Ecuadorian Bank. I added my Banco de Loja account and it worked fine but, the interesting part is they asked for a national ID card number, Cédula.

Please, if some of you have a Banco de Loja account connected with your passport and a PayPal account, let me know if you were able to connect both of them.

I tried to connect an Ecuador bank but was unsuccessful. Under their help section, they state it must be a U.S. back. 0 0

Hi! I literally just tried to add my Banco Del Austro account yesterday but I was unable to do so because when you have to put in your address it is only American states in the drop-down box??? 0 0

I tried this and could not find any out of country banks in the search list. In the Help section of Paypal, it says, "Why can't I link a bank account to my PayPal account? Here are some possible reasons why you couldn't add your bank to your PayPal account:... Read more 0 0

This is nothing "new" because I've had my bank connected to PayPal for 2 years, and who knows how long that was available before that. Since I wanted to receive payments via PayPal, I had to open a Wise account for them to send money from the U.S. 0 0

Did some reading, it appears that it is possible to do so (which you already know). But it looks like you can't add an account to an existing Paypal account that is using a U.S. bank account. It appears it's only feasible if you set up a different Paypal account... 0 0

Would you mind sharing how? When I try to add a bank account, there does not seem to be any way around providing a routing number and account number. To my knowledge, Ecuador banks do not use a routing number. Thanks. 0 0
