Thank you to all of you who have donated and sent good wishes. Donations are continued to be accepted at Matthew’s Bagels and Karen Hicks has offered to pick up donations if people can’t make it into the store.
They have diagnosed Jennifer with cerebral edema complicated by toxoplasmosis. They predict she will spend 1-2 years in further treatment.
Jennifer has been sent home to recover. She continues to take a great deal of medication and is continuing to improve. Being Jennifer, she is insisting on going into the bakery and supervising.
Medication will be a life long necessity. She has lost quite a bit of weight and bulking up is her number one priority, although, it remains difficult for her to eat and digest solids.
