Join us in this fantastic day
Wednesday, June 10
We start the day at 8:30 A Mat La Yunta Restaurante with breakfast, fried eggs, sauteed mushrooms, baked tomato and bacon, coffee or tea
Our first stop is the Museo de la Makana where we will learn about the traditional weaving process also about colors and shapes, of course you can buy one or two Makanas. They are lovely.
We will do a short stop by Gualaceo’s famous river called Santa Barbara. According to legend the name of Gualaceo was born from the death of a powerful cañari Gualataco. When he died his soul became the Santa Barbara river, here we will try the famous pastry, quesadilla gualataca.
Also we will visit the Acuaducto which is a hydraulic structure that dates perhaps from pre-hispanic times
Our second stop is Chordeleg, the most fantastic town for jewelry. I am sure many of you have visited this enchanted town.
Here you will have free time to walk around and enjoy the shops of silver jewelry and ceramic; shopping of course.
Our next stop is Paute where Patricio Coronel and his team at Corvel Restaurante will cook us a delicious lunch out of a la carte so you can decide what to eat.
$40 pp cash only (lunch at Corvel is not included)
