Santa knew just what I wanted for Christmas – new boots!
Mauricio Granda, at Bigotté Barbershop and Lounge, must have whispered in Santa’s ear and told him my size and the style I wanted.
I worked in high end men’s retail in the states and these handmade C and A Boots from Quito are the quality and style you would find at Nordstrom for a fourth the price. (Santa left the sticker on them, so I know they sell for just a little over $120.)
If you are in the market for new boots, do yourself a favor and stop by the Bigotté Barbershop and try a pair on. There must be at least ten different styles in both black and brown.
I can guarantee you have never had a more comfortable footwear. There is no breaking in these boots because the leather is so soft and are so comfortable you would swear you have been wearing them for years.
And after you have purchased your boots, you should go upstairs and have a beer or a cocktail in the lounge and check out Mauricio’s new full-service barbershop. There is nothing like it in Cuenca. You can get a get a manicure, pedicure, massage, shave and a haircut all in one place all for the most professional and personable staff around.
