The Aguarongo Protected Forest is situated in the middle of the inter-Andean valley, a strategic location that has enabled the protection of several species. Inside the forest, we can see species such as the aguarongo that gives its name to the place, the Andean flower or chuquiragua, valerian, laurel, pumamaqui, gañal, orchids, bromeliads, and numerous shrub plants.
