Visited Cuenca early April and had the great opportunity to have assistance from Marcelo in Cuenca. I initially asked if he could meet us at the airport then use some time to give us an early morning tour of the city while waiting for check-in at the hotel. We ended up hiring him to take us on local tours, ate at a great country Ecuadorian restaurant, ruins tour, church in the mountain and other locales.
Marcelo speaks great English and as a local knows a lot about the city and surrounding area. When I move to Cuenca, I am sure to call on him for his facilitator services.
