When I read a review that he served a great smoked salmon scrambled egg dish I knew I had to go. But it turned out to be smoked tuna which he has made fresh from a vendor. I opted for the fresh fruit instead of hash browns and sour dough bread with butter and jam. Delicious and a good size portion. The scrambled eggs were not dry and over cooked. Not disappointed at all that I got smoked tuna instead of salmon.
A fellow diner had hash browns with his meal and the potatoes were not greasy at all. He also said that you would not see French fries being served. Service is also quick. No long waits here. I did not notice many locals as most were expats who were probably served by Frankie at his previous work place.
His breakfast menu is a nice selection of specialty dishes. You won’t see the standard breakfast choice of eggs and bacon, French toast, or pancakes. You also will not get paper napkins. Strictly cloth napkins.
Kolo also sells a variety of bakery items and I had to try the large snickernoodle and chocolate chip cookies (couldn’t decide among the choices). You won’t get them served at room temperature either. He heats them for you!
I am looking forward to try more breakfast items as well as trying the lunch items to see if they will be as tasty as my first meal as Frankie’s new restaurant. I don’t think I will be disappointed.
