An investigation carried out by the Catholic University of Cuenca, the Latino Clinic and the Bioncogen laboratory processes 11,053 PCR tests to determine this type of mutations and to know how the pandemic is progressing in the city.
The importance of the study is based on the analysis of the effectiveness of vaccination, since international studies show that, for example, the power of immunization decreases in certain brands with the British variant and drops to 10% in the South African variant, which, so far, it has not been detected in Ecuador.
