Trekking over Portete river

This is a hike that takes us up the Portete river to challenge our skills on walking on water. First part is on a dirt road to get into the community Sombrederas Kimsacocha, where we learn about their defense of the forest and the river since people from out of the community are trying to take that area for mining.

After that, we hike on a trail that connects with the river, where we change our footwear to start our five crossings up the river, rest, do a picnic potluck in a nice spot and come back down the river.
