Activation by the # PlanVacing9100 and tribute concert to its founder presents the Symphony Orchestra of Cuenca

Cuenca, June 17 2021.- The Symphony Orchestra of Cuenca (CSO) joins the # PlanVacing9100 thanks to the joint work of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Culture and Heritage. Art and Culture will be present in these days, from the Jefferson Pérez Coliseum in the city of Cuenca, this June 17 at 10 AM, with the participation of the outstanding Singers Basinos: Linda Alvarado, Anyela Castillo, Diego Zamora, Fernando Vargas and the direction of Master Augusto Carrión Rhodes.

On Friday, June 18, starting at 7 PM in the Church of Santo Domingo, the CSO will provide the tribute concert to its founder Dr. José Castellví Queralt, an event in which his compositions will be interpreted, inspired by Cuenca and other places in Ecuador and, surely, will make the attendees vibrate.

On Saturday, June 19, starting at 8:30 PM, the CSO will transmit the seasonal concert under the baton of Master Augusto Carrión Rodas, through his institutional Facebook and can be visualized in the Digital Concert Hall of the CSO in YouTube, after the transmission.

The virtual event will have the following repertoire:
Albzo for Leonardo Cárdenas ropes. It is framed within the proposals of new trends of traditional Ecuadorian academic music. It is a composition that allows an approach to a new note, from any interesting point of view and, above all, a creative work that projects Ecuadorian music to a renewable and sustainable future.

Symphony No. 40 in Sol Minor K.550 of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. On this incomparable symphony, these are the criteria of great composers: Berlioz observed his “grace, delicacy, melodic charm and beauty of maker”; Schumann found in her “lightness and Greek grace”; Wagner considered it “exuberant with outburst.”

The CSO makes available to the public its digital concert hall on YouTube, where they can find the concerts presented so far.
