Expat Services Center– get help with your COVID-19 vaccine appointment

Do you still need help registering for your vaccine on the Ministry of Health’s website? Are you starting to wonder why all your friends have received a notification for their vaccine appointment and you are still waiting? Or maybe you received a robocall in Spanish, had trouble understanding what it was all about, and now are worried it was related to your vaccine appointment?

Let Hogar de Esperanza’s Expat Services Center help you find answers to your vaccine-related questions, and breathe a bit easier knowing that you are all set. While we don’t promise to have all the answers, we can share with you the information on what we do know, we can call 171 on your behalf, and just generally do our best to help you sort things out – all free of charge.

An update that we want to share with you is that IESS announced it is signing up its eligible members for their vaccines. However, it seems that not everyone they sign up is being notified of their appointment time. If you are a member of IESS, you can log into your online account and check there to see if you have an appointment scheduled. Or contact us if you need help checking.

The Expat Services Center is offering to assist anyone – at no charge – with registering for and confirming their vaccine appointments here in Cuenca. Send us an email, call us, or just stop by during our open hours. We are happy to help you get vaccinated, as this, in turn, helps our Cuenca community as a whole.

Open hours for the Expat Services Center are: Monday – Friday from 8 AM – 5:30 PM, and Saturday from 8 AM – 1 PM (except during the lockdown). The Center is located at Mariscal Sucre 12-84 y Juan Montalvo, just around the corner from our Esperanza Thrift Shop. Look for the bright yellow sign. Thank you for your support.

Victor Suarez: 099 094 7611. Call after: 8 AM.
