There are two varieties of coffee trees, Arabica and Robusta. Arabica-type coffee is considered Premium and produces beans with the best flavor. Arabica coffee beans require very special conditions to grow. The coffee tree is highly susceptible to diseases and pests.
Once Arabica coffee is grown under ideal conditions, it must be processed correctly to bring premium coffee to your cup. Manual harvesting is important to ensure that only the reddest and ripest coffee cherry trees are harvested and used in the process. After being harvested, the coffee beans must be dried in the sun before being roasted by the experts.
