Cowboy, Buddy and Bear

Families are needed for three precious male puppies. They are eight-weeks old, vaccinated and dewormed. Their mother is a small (12 pound) rescue dog – our 6th rescue dog. We are desperate to find loving homes for these guys. If money is a problem, we will pay half of the cost to neuter them; if you use Dr. Gallardo’s veterinary clinic for the procedure when they are the appropriate age. Thank you for your consideration – puppy love is a wonderful thing.

Beautiful German shepherd, female, 10 months, needs a home

This gorgeous, sweet dog named “Campana” currently lives with my neighbors. Along with her Mom and another unlucky dog, she’s chained up with not enough slack to move very far. She’s at least 75% German Shepherd, really particularly beautiful. She was the runt of the litter, her brother was adopted by another family member and luckily has a good life, free to move around. He’s significantly bigger than she, I don’t think she’ll get very big, she’ll be a medium sized dog. She’s very sweet, I stop to pet her and the others every other day or so and she’s very friendly with me, no signs of aggression. The humans would like $20 to cover the vaccinations they paid for, other than that they’re not trying to make any money from this dog. These people are quite poor and cannot feed their dogs well, they eat mostly rice. If you’re looking for a stunning, medium-sized dog, friendly and sweet, Campana could be your girl. If you’re interested, I can give you directions and arrange for you to meet her.

Help Paws with Hope move

Hello Cuenca friends and friends of Paws with Hope. We are extremely thankful for all who are involved in keeping our rescue animals fed, sheltered, and vetted. Unfortunately, not too long ago we found out that that the owner of the house we recently rented has sold the house. Now we have no option but to relocate again. Luckily we have found a property that will allow the dogs and cats.

Currently we are home to 8 dogs: Ginger Bailey, Nila, Max, Scott, Gloria, Tala, and Peanut and 3 cats: Jake, Cleopatra, and Silas. Moving the animals again will not be easy and will not be low cost. We need to have the deposit money before Wednesday in order to secure the property.

So, we have no choice but to ask for help from the community and our supporters. We are just making it with food for the rescues and our other expenses so this move is not something we expected or can afford. Besides the deposit we need to come up with the first month’s rent and funding for the materials to raise and secure the fence to keep the rescue dogs safe and contained.

Any donation is very much appreciated. Also, if you are looking to adopt please send us a message. Paypal:

About three months ago we rescued a 12 pound pregnant dog we found by the river. We watched her begging for food for several days before deciding to take her home. She is our sixth rescue dog. She had three beautiful puppies; all of them healthy males. We are seeking responsible homes for them. Hoping their new owners will have them sterilized at the appropriate age, and ensure that they are well cared for throughout their lives. They are about seven weeks old and have had their first vaccinations and deworming at Dr. Gallardo’s veterinary clinic.

Please email: if you are interested in some puppy love. Thank you,

Would you be interested in adopting a friend?

Hey there. If you love dogs and you are willing to change their life for the better, then you have to check @salvavidas_cuenca (Instagram) or salvavidas cuenca (Facebook).

They all have really sad stories but thankfully the girls from Salvavidas rescued them. Check them out, book a visit in the refuge, fall in love with them and if you can, consider giving them a second chance. Also, if you aren’t able to adopt you can donate.

Thanks for reading.

Lost dog

We are asking anyone in the Ordonez Lasso area to keep an eye out for Kira, a 1-year old, small, black Schnauzer. She’s about 16 inches (35 cm) tall and weighs about 15 pounds (7 kgs). She’s a female, is very friendly and affectionate with people, and usually responds to her name. She does not have a collar or any other identification.

She was last seen on Tuesday morning, when it is suspected that she may have gotten out of her fenced yard, and was chased down the street and away by other. more aggressive dogs. Her family misses her very much.

Here is a recent photo of her with longer hair. She has since gotten a typical Schnauzer haircut: short on the top/back.

If you see Kira, please call me at once. I will come and collect her immediately: 099 028 9149

Even though this ad may say “call after 6 AM,” please call anytime (I can’t see how to omit this data field from the GP webpage.)

Thank you for your help and vigilance.

Mo needs a permanent home

Mo (black with some grey not age related) is a neutered male about 3 years old. He is around 13-14 pounds – around the size of a large chihuahua. He has the bent front paws of a dachshund but that’s about the end of his resemblance to the breed. I call Mo a circus dog – he likes to sit up on his hind quarters and wave his front paws for attention.

Mo is sweet and loving – very low to no doggy odor; low shedding. He is very acclimated to all the pleasures of indoor living and leashed walks. Excellent health; up to date on all vaccines, parasite and flea medication.

Please give this foster dog a loving, permanent home. If unable to post photos here or in the comments, will send via email on request.

Akira is looking for a home

Hi… I´ll tell you about Akira. It´s a female black medium dog. It has been all its life on the streets so, the idea is to find a home for it with a big space. Akira is very lovely, sweet and loyal, also very good protector. It´s nice and funny to hear it snore when it sleeps!

Very important is the fact that it´s sterilized, vaccinated and dewormed and there is the vet control to prove it.

If there´s something missing in your life… it is Akira.
