Come one, come all.The grand opening for El Mundo Orgánico’s store will be held on Saturday, 23 January, from 9 AM until 4 PM.
In addition to the many fresh and healthy products available in our store, we are hosting a mini-Feria on our large patio area in front of our store! Plenty of street parking is available in front of the store.
Social distancing and all the health protocols will be observed for your protection.
Several of our suppliers will be on hand to greet you as well. Here is a list of the suppliers who will be joining us to celebrate our Grand Opening:
— Felix, from “King’s Smokehouse”, is bringing many of his pork products, such as his bacon, sausages, sliced ham, etc., and other fabulous, quality products;
— Tyrone from “The Cuenca Shop” will be here to offer many of his unique products, which may include some of his imported liquors, vitamins, organic chocolate bars and other cacao products, as well as perhaps Young Living and/or doTerra Essential Oils (I will have more details on the list of products Tyrone will bring on Monday evening, which I will pass on to you);
— “SIZÚ Lab” will be here to provide samples of their freshly made bagels and cream cheese, as well as many of their scrumptious and fresh, vegan, vegetarian, sugar-free and organic taste treats. SIZÚ Labs makes, among a host of other fresh products, pepper relish, hummus, pomodoro sauce, pastrami with fine herbs, an onion chutney confit, granola, caponata and sugar-free “sweets”, such as “Double Chocolate Cookies”, sugar-free sweetened almonds, and sugar-free “Brownies” and “Peanut Butter Bars”;
— Paul Sanchez of “Nunkui”, an Amazonia Ecoferia retail store in El Centro that contributes from its sales to the conservation of Ecuador’s natural resources, the biodiversity of the Amazon, and to the sustainable development of the largest and most diverse rainforest in the world, will be presenting hand-made ceramics; organic hand and body lotions; spices; and soaps among additional products from the Amazon;
— “BYOB” will be here to discuss their own environmentally-conscious products as well as “Dr. Abeeja” organic honey products. Among BYOB’s most popular products are: Their very popular “BYOB Trail Mix”, “BYOB Peanut Butter” (smooth and crunchy), a line of shampoos, including a shampoo made in a solid bar, and a conditioner, hand and body soaps, and a Nutella-like hazelnut spread;
— “La Mia” will be here with their always-popular and delicious goat cheeses, such as Greek Feta and Chevre with Jalepeños, and their artisanal liqueurs (Baileys-style, Tia Maria-style and Kahlua-style), as well as their very popular and delicious dill pickles, white sauerkraut and red sauerkraut;
— “Par Arte” from Colombia, known for their “Dot Art”, will not only have some of their hand-painted artwork and gift items available for sale on Saturday, but they will also have samples of their new “Frutos Secos” and other edibles; and
— Last, but not least, Diana from “Hoppe Café”, arguably one of the most delicious coffees in Ecuador, will be here to discuss with you the qualities of the coffees found here in Ecuador.
Our store will also be open for you to purchase any of our fresh organic produce, our “natural” produce (meaning that they are free from hormones, chemical fertilizers and/or chemical insecticides and are grown by employing organic methodologies, but they cannot be labeled or certified as “organic” yet) and other available products.
Our product range is diverse and is ever-growing! You can make your selections from additional organic products, such as wine, coffees, flours, white and whole grain rice, soaps, shampoos and conditioners, toothbrushes and toothpastes, as well as other organic products to gluten-free, lactose-free, sugar-free, and/or biodegradable products. We also carry artisanal products made by local providers that you may encounter at other ferias (pre-pandemic).
We hope to see you here on Saturday, 23 January, between 9 AM and 4 PM.

From the Simon Bolivar Redondel on Av. de Las Americas (near the SuperMaxi-Las Americas, Ordoñez Lasso and Gran Columbia), go south on Las Americas.
Make a right turn (going west) onto Autopista 582–Via Cuenca-Molleturo-Naranjal (also known as “Enrique Arízaga Toral” and/or “El Medio Eljido” by most taxi drivers).
At the first traffic light on Autopista 582 going west from Las Americas, turn left onto Francisco Cisneros. Once you have turned left onto Francisco Cisneros, El Mundo Orgánico is located on the ground floor of the first building on the left on Francisco Cisneros.

For a map to our location, please go to our website (www.elmundoorganico.com). Google Maps shows the corner of Francisco Cisneros and Via Cuenca-Molleturo-Naranjal and the building where our store is located as it looked nearly 10 years ago. We have added photos of our store to try to help you locate us.
