Deep jungle exploration to the Sapara Dream World

This is a unique tour to the Sapara Territory in the Ecuadorian Jungle. The Sapara were once a nationality of over 200,000 people. There are now less than 600 Sapara left between the Peruvian and Ecuadorian Amazon.

One of the foundations of Sapara culture is mutual respect of each other and our environment. Their cosmovision is based on recognizing the sacredness of all things, visible and invisible.

The intention of this tour is to share the magic of the natural and spirit world of the Sapara people.

During the tour, you’ll have the opportunity to swim in the Conambo River, hike in both primary and secondary forest, learn about the plant kingdom, have cultural exchanges with the local communities, try local food and drinks, participate in traditional ceremonies and more.

This tour includes transportation from Cuenca to Shell and back, most meals, lodging, bilingual guide and flights to the Sapara territory and back to Shell (The Sapara territory is only accesible by plane).

Expect to leave the jungle feeling transformed and renewed.

From July 5th to July 10th, 2022, 13-49, Juan Jaramillo 6-93 y Borrero, Cuenca.

Final days – Pachamama Art Exhibition

This is the final week of Juan Garcia and Margot Manosalvas’ art exhibition at idiomART. Both had the fortune of being born and raised in San Antonio de Ibarra, which is a pueblo with a 150-year long tradition of art!

The exhibition is a stunning collection of wooden sculptures, masks, acrylic paintings and watercolor paintings that reflect the power and majesty of Pachamama.

“To be a part of nature is to discover our origin, our reason for being. Through art we preserve, express and share our thoughts, our history and our traditions. Art allows us to balance and harmonize our very existence with nature, with Pachamama. We are nature. We are art. We are life. “ ~ Juan & Margot

Please visit us during our gallery hours or email us to schedule a private showing.

Rarely do these incredible lemons make it to age two

This Saturday, May 14th, I will be serving my homemade chicken lemon soup. A traditional dish in Cambodia. This soup is a delicate balance of traditional homemade chicken soup but with a twist; lemon. Not just any lemon, in order to get the perfect lemon flavor without bitterness the lemons must go through a process of cleaning, sun, sea salt and purified water. Only after being stored for six months are the lemons ready for my soup. One year is better and two years, Wow! My family and friends love this soup so much a lemon rarely makes it to two years. These are my last two lemons.

I have enough of my two-year old lemons to make 18-20 bowls of soup. My next batch of one-year old lemons won’t be ready until the middle of June. So, join me in a traditional Cambodian meal. A generous amount of chicken in a broth you will never forget and a premium mixed drink on the house as we celebrate “Cambodian chicken soup & the two year old lemon”

Includes: Appetizer, Premium Asian Fried Rice, Salad, Dessert, Premium Cocktail & Glass of house wine.

From July 5th to July 10th, 2022, 1349, Juan Jaramillo 6-93 y Borrero, Cuenca.

Lok Lak Beef Tenderloin

This week I added Lok Lak beef tenderloin to the menu. Premium tenderloin sliced and sauteed in my special olive oil infused with leeks. I add some of my favorite seasonings and lay it on a bed of crisp lettuce, tomatoes and onion. You can eat like a salad or place the beef in wraps of lettuce with your hands. Tender and spicy just the way you like it.

Go to my website and select “whats cooking” to see this dish and the other plates I’m cooking up this week.
