Saturday Salon: Ecuadorian Legends and Mampuchos
Saturday, Sept. 23
11 AM
Maria Ochoa has spent the last few months creating her Mampuchos (art dolls) based on characters found in Ecuadorian Folktales and Legends. During this process, she dove headfirst into a history lesson to learn more about the stories she’d heard throughout her life. In her Salon, she will share some of those stories, discuss her journey to find the origins, and her artistic process to take all of that information and inspiration and turn them into her magical Mampuchos! She will also take you on a tour of her exhibit so you can see firsthand her artistic incarnations.

Each person has her or her own creation station with paints, brushes, and easel. The bar is open so maybe have a glass of wine or two to get those creative juices flowing!
