Poetry Marathon – Sept. 30

idiomART has been invited to participate in a citywide event on Sept. 30 (Saturday) called the Poetry Marathon. We will be one of 13 different groups in Cuenca who will participate in a 4-hour poetry marathon! This is a huge endeavor and we are seeking folks who would like to share their own poetry or read their favorite poems. We also need some volunteers because we will have various moving parts to this event.

Each group will be at a different bridge in the city and idiomART has been given Puente Roto (The Broken Bridge).

This is an incredible opportunity for us to share in a collective artistic expression where a wide variety of people will be impregnating the rivers with poetry to flow through the valleys, the communities, the mountains…touching millions of living beings, elevating the energy to fill a world that sometimes feels lost, aggressive, and sad with the creative energy that can truly heal and inspire every being the water touches and nourishes.

If you are interested in participating as a reader and/or volunteer, please let us know ASAP by emailing: idiomartcuenca@gmail.com

On Monday, Sept. 18 we are having a meeting at idiomART at 1 PM to discuss logistics for the event itself.

Please let us know if you’d like to participate or if you have any questions!

If you’d like to see who else is participating in this event, please go to this website. It’s still a work in progress and the information is being uploaded to the website as the different groups and organizations submit it to the event organizers, so please keep going back to it everyone once in a while to see all the incredible activities happening at the 13 different bridges in the city.
