Eye exams, Lenses, Frames
I put off visiting an optometrist far too long while my glasses became so outdated that my uncorrected vision seemed better by comparison. I met Ignacio Carmona in another context, and decided to go to his optometry practice, Optimex, in Cuenca’s historic Downtown. Unlike my previous experiences with eye exams, I felt as though I knew what I was doing throughout the testing; I felt unhurried and more than welcome to ask questions along the way, and I came away with a prescription for progressive lenses that turned out to be as perfect for my needs as lenses can be.
My Spanish is good in everyday situations, but in a healthcare setting, it was helpful to me that Sr. Carmona’s English is faultless. It was such a positive experience that I look forward to seeing him once a year to take better care of my vision.
