Tearduct surgery

My wife needs cataract surgery but before that she needs tear duct surgery because of an eye infection. Has anyone in the community had this procedure? If so, can you share your experience, the doctors name, cost(s) and any additional helpful information you might deem relevant? Any insights would be most appreciated.
