Hit a brick wall (as we call it) in going any further with my search. Grandfather was adopted in 1872 and enumerated in the 1880 Pa. Census as 8 years old, ADS adopted son by English couple.
Familytreena.com discovered a match for me with William Irick (now deceased) in Tennessee.
Cannot seem to find family match to track any named male from this period, thus the brick wall.
One correctly named Individual, named Henry Irick matches the DNA, location, age 10, and was found on the 1860 Pa. census living with the John Mumma Family and emigrated from Baden, Germany.
A dead end here as well.
Very unlikely for me to find a, “Kindred Spirit,” here in Cuenca? But one never knows what is hiding here in plain sight?
Thank you.
