Visas and cedulas, real estate
We began working with Eddie in looking for our first home in Cuenca 10 years ago. He had a good network of options and found us a perfect place with terrific landlords. Most recently, Eddie helped us in renewing our cedulas and moving our visas to our new passports, not wanting to try to negotiate the immigration system on our own. He was spot on for the paperwork we would need, and my husband got his within several weeks; mine longer because, luck of the draw, I got the one person in the agency known for coming up with unnecessary obstacles (we’ve heard stories from others) – and they did. Eddie helped me through successfully, always knowing what to do and remaining professional throughout. I couldn’t have done it without him.
On top of his know-how and professionalism, Eddie is a great guy – sincere and friendly, plus a pleasure to be around; which I’m sure accounts for his having a wealth of great people-resources. He lived in New York most of his life, so his first language is English, but grew up speaking Spanish with his Ecuadorian family as well.
Eddie is one of those people we have come to rely on in our new life in Ecuador and we both consider him a friend as well.
