While driving to many locations around Ecuador may be more challenging now due to the rains and landslides, there are still places you can visit. You can have adventures close to Cuenca when you plan ahead. If traveling outside of the Cuenca area, be sure to allow extra time to get to your destination. A 4-hour drive to Guayaquil could be much, much longer.
