I have heard conflicting information on the comuna system and what rights land owners have and don’t have in areas where this system is in place. I have been advised never to buy comuna land, I have been told that it really is no big deal by foreigners that have bought, built on, and lived on comuna land for years, and real estate agents have told me many different things.
I am hoping someone can point me in the direction of a document, website, bulletin, or whatever that outlines the comuna system and gives some unbiased facts as to what being a comunero really entails. Spanish or English is fine.
