Guatemalan-American sommelier, Melissa Perez-Singer, has been sharing her knowledge about wines and chocolates at idiomART for the past several months and people keep asking for a more in-depth learning experience. We took your suggestion to heart and are excited to announce a complete 4-part Tasting Course!

Tasting 101:
Introductory course on the basics of tasting different wines.
Learn the basic techniques of how to taste wine.

Tasting 102:
Learn how to differentiate and pair basic red and white wine varietals.
What’s the difference between a merlot and a cabernet; a chardonnay and a sauvignon blanc? In this class, you will learn the differences between basic varietals of wine and how to pair them.

Tasting 103:
Learn the exciting nuances of rosés and sparkling wines.
What is a rosé and how is a sparkling wine different from a prosecco or a champagne? Learn these nuances in this exciting course.

Tasting 104:
Learn about fortified and dessert wines and their pairings.
The history of fortified wines is interesting and they are more diverse than you many think. Dessert wines are also complex and exciting. In this course, you will learn the subtleties of both and how to pair them.
