Join us for a FAAN-tastic Day with Dogs in the Tarqui Countryside

FAAN (Fundacion Familia Amor Animal) Volunteer and Cuenca Resident Michelle Demers is sponsoring this FAAN-tastic day with dogs in the Tarqui Countryside as part of her 50th birthday celebration to raise funds for the new FAAN Shelter. Join us!
This special day trip will begin in Cuenca at a private home with Mimosa and Continental Breakfast. (Meet other animal loving Cuenca residents). We’ll then travel via luxury bus to FAAN’s temporary shelter in the beautiful Tarqui mountains where you’ll be able to walk with and play with FAAN Dogs who just love the attention and exercise.
This will be followed by a traditional vegetarian lunch prepared and served in a countryside home by a warm and generous Ecuadorian family.
Michelle has been an animal lover her whole life and lost her beloved Tibetan Terrier, Birch just before the onset of Covid. While she’s not able to own a dog at this time with her travels, this special trip to celebrate her 50th and help Cuenca’s homeless dogs is Michelle’s gift to these shelter dogs looking for their forever homes. Whether or not you know Michelle, join this incredible and inspired day trip.
And, if you’ve heard about FAAN but have never been to the shelter, here’s your opportunity with a peaceful and playful experiential day trip where you’ll meet new friends of both the two-legged and four-legged variety and learn about our mission and vision for animal welfare in Cuenca.
$35 per person includes breakfast, transportation, lunch and our walking with dogs’ experience. $10 of this fee will be a donation for the new FAAN animal shelter.
