Recently, Mady González and Vivíana González, her assistant, went to bat for me with Confiamed. In March, I was in the middle of changing plans within Confiamed when I developed a trigger finger on my right thumb. I went to Dr. Miguel Molina, the same orthopedist who did my knee replacement in 2016.
There was a mix up involving dates and, initially, Confiamed was going to refuse coverage for any surgery saying that it was a “pre-existing condition.”
Viví even went to Dr. Molina’s office to speak with his assistant while Mady dealt with Confiamed.
Finally, Confiamed has decided to cover me IF I decide to have surgery. For the moment, I am trying a more conservative approach.
Even though I speak Spanish, I find nothing is ever easy here but Mady and Vivi, who are completely bilingual, were instrumental in seeing a positive outcome and so I thank them here.
