The Open Mic is run much like a musical open mic. Storytellers and listeners come to experience a fun evening together. Those who don’t want to tell a story can come and listen. Those who want to tell a story write their name on the list and we call them up in order.
It’s as easy as that! Like we always say, storytelling doesn’t work without story listeners! It’s a very low-pressure atmosphere with the goal of having fun and nurturing the timeless art of storytelling.
Our Storytelling Open Mic is the last Wednesday of each month.
This month it’s on May 31
6 – 8 PM and costs $5.
*no reservations needed
Don’t forget, Karla Freeman, our co-host and professional storyteller is offering a free storytelling warm-up an hour before the open mic for anyone interested in running ideas past her, ask advice, or even just feel it out. No reservation needed for this either.
