ARCA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to rescue, providing medical care and finding a home for domestic animals. ARCA was created in August 2010 as the biggest and the first shelter in Cuenca.
We have a shelter in Pichacay (Santa Ana sector) where we hold about 400 dogs and 40 cats downtown. Also, ARCA has an agreement with Cuenca municipality for spaying and neuter clinics in Cuenca Canton.
ARCA has a veterinary hospital on Baltazara de Calderon 2-37 and Miguel Velez where people with low income can bring their pets. We also provide surgery services and conduct spay and neuter clinics.
At the hospital, people can adopt dogs and cats from Monday through Sunday from 8 AM to 8 PM. In this clinic we provide all the medical care when we rescue dogs.
ARCA attends 911 call emergencies about animals that have injuries or that have been abandoned.
We can be reached at 098 335 0434 or on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/FundacionProtectoraArca/?locale=es_LA
You will be hearing more from us here in the coming weeks!
