The Qi Gong center in El Centro provides beginner and intermediate classes in a large outdoor garden area. The classes are taught by Perry or Frida, very kind and dedicated teachers. The fee for a month to attend any of the many classes, is $40. The first class is free.
I had never done Qi Gong, but with creaky knees and hips, I was looking for a way to exercise and relax while standing. My experience in the classes has been very rewarding. The breathing, stretching and relaxing, meditative movements are just what I had hoped for.
They are offering a four-day retreat to IntiKamari in the Yunguilla valley from the 18th – 21, for beginners and practitioners. More information on their Facebook page: @Pampamisayoc QiGong.
