Hello all, I have the pleasure of now living in Cuenca and helping my niece with designing and drafting plans for a new home. Andee, along with her husband and 2 small children, are building in the Riobamba area. I have extensive experience in the US and now need help with building practices in Ecuador.
I would appreciate input for footings, foundations, as well as construction details used for actual construction purposes. Would be great if someone could share architectural plan examples from the Cuenca area. Home is to be constructed with block, concrete, and steel frame truss.
PS: my wife and my niece are Ecuadorian and my work is strictly pro bono.
