This past Friday, a team from Hogar de Esperanza visited the Alausi site to get a look at the devastation first hand. We met with those organizing the relief efforts including emergency workers, donation organizers and those planning the response going forward. We will be working very closely with them to fill in the gaps where support is missing.
Right now, they have lots of food and clothing. We will be bringing supplies on Wednesday of what they identified is in great need.
– Recyclable Grocery bags (to pack food in)
– Children’s socks and underwear
– Adult diapers
– Baby bottles
– Wipes
– Small plastic bags to repackage bulk items
If you would like to donate any of these items, you can drop them off to Esperanza Thrift Shop at Juan Montalvo 8-18 and Mariscal Sucre from 10am to 5pm Monday or Tuesday. If you would like to make a donation for us to purchase supplies, you can do it here:
