Investment CD still needed?

Ecuador’s laws, pertaining to visas seem to change frequently, and I’ve not seen any recent posts about maintaining an investment CD. Having changed our residency from Canada to Ecuador and obtaining permanent residency here, I’m trying to confirm that the investment that the temporary visa was predicated on, is no longer needed.
