I use the highest quality acupuncture needles, made in Korea, and imported in from the US. High quality needles are less painful during the insertion, are smoother and sharper, reducing discomfort for the patient, and allowing for proper placement. This allows the patient to remain relaxed and comfortable during the session.
Lower quality needles are more difficult to insert, and because of the roughness, increase friction, requiring more force. The result is a sharp sensation on the insertion, and pain with the placement.
I only ever use my needles once, then discard them. Acupuncture needles should never be reused. Reusing needles is not sanitary, and with multiple users, the needles become dull and painful.
