In these days of heavy rains and washouts along the road to Guayaquil and elsewhere, it pays to ask for help or hire a driver. I know the back roads and can get you safely to your destination. It is a good idea to plan ahead because it can take time to get to GYE and you don’t want to miss your plane because you didn’t think about road conditions. Those alternate routes are much slower and sometimes rough, too.
