Join us for a powerful yet relaxing Sunday with Dances of Universal Peace followed by a Sound Bath Therapy session.
Dances of Universal Peace are a spiritual practice that employs singing and dancing different sacred phrases of the world’s religions. The intention is to raise consciousness and promote peace. The dances are led by local Sufi and dance leader, Lorena Tamariz of Cuenca.
A sound bath is a healing, meditative experience that uses sound waves created by singing bowls, gongs, and other sacred instruments to “bathe” a person and create a state of harmony within. Benefits include relaxation, an increased sense of well-being, and expanded awareness. Some have even experienced physical healing as well. Clara Buchelli of Quito will be leading this portion of the session.
You will experience healing, meditation, and connection first through movement, then through sound!
* Please bring a mat to lay on during the sound bath therapy. If you need a pillow and a covering to be more comfortable, please bring that as well.
